Touch-Screen Navigation
With the addition of touch-screen technology, Pioneer has made its DVD-based navigation system easier to use. Pioneer's newest system, the AVIC-80DVD, uses this technology to provide instantaneous door-to-door directions to anywhere in the United States and Canada. This system also has voice control and a fast processing speed, and it can provide address searches based on its 10 million phone number and 2 million points of interest databases. The AVIC-80DVD will be available in three packages, ranging from a more affordable upgrade to a top-of-the-line package.

T9500 Subwoofer
MTX Audio now offers the T9500 subwoofer. These subwoofers are available in 10-, 12-, and 15-inch sizes, and are said to be capable of handling between 750 and 1,000 watts RMS. The T9500 surround geometry consists of compression-molded NBR surround and uses FEA optimized roll geometry to maximize excursion without sacrificing cone surface area.

Audiobahn's A5100T Amplifier
Audiobahn's A5100T 5.1 amplifier is an ideal companion for 125 watts x 2 front speakers, 75 watts x 2 for rear speakers, and a 75-watt mono output for center channel or mid-bass. Kenwood has unveiled its 3D Mask, a sleek, fully motorized dual-panel display system for its in-dash CD receivers. Available on selected receivers, the 3D Mask features a blank faceplate that flips over and down, revealing a control keypad, and on a separate panel, a high-resolution LCD display with color text and graphics. When closed, 3D Mask shows a blank face to the outside world. The faceplate is also removable for extra security. Kenwood's 3D Mask allows use of a much larger display, providing better visibility, and larger buttons and volume control for easy operation. All Kenwood receivers equipped with 3D Mask are also Sirius Ready, HD Radio Ready, and Kenwood Music Keg Ready, so the LCD display provides a readout of AM/FM and CD text information, as well as text and graphics to support new digital broadcast services and compressed computer audio formats.
