Texas Extreme Truck Show 2003

Consistently pulling trophies at competitive truck shows is a difficult status to accomplish when campaigning a radically modified show hauler. Not only does the truck have to be detailed inside, outside, and underneath, but the chrome, paint, powdercoating, and billet must be shined to perfection to maximize points on judging sheets. Show judges look for how a truck is maintained and how a truck is put together electrically, as well as the quality and finish of the hardware used to screw the beast together. Just as custom truck enthusiasts have a difficult job of putting a vehicle together that will turn heads, judges have an equally difficult task of choosing show trucks that best represent the First-, Second-, and Third-Place awards for any given show class, as well as the vehicles which capture the Best Of categories. Categories such as Best of Show, Best Paint, Best Flames, Best Interior, Best Engineered, Best Undercarriage, and Best Engine force judges to analyze a show truck from top to bottom and pick the truck which best exhibits each one of these categories.

Recently, the Texas Extreme Truck Show held at the Texas Ski Ranch, in New Braunfels, Texas, on September 27-28, brought out some of the most radical, well-detailed show trucks the Truckin' crew had seen in a long time, and the competition was fierce. Put on by Truckin', sponsored by Chevy Trucks, BlueOvalTruckParts.com, Vortec Engines, Nitto Tire, Line-X, Rhino Linings, J.C. Whitney, Vortex Sprayliners, Stylin' Concepts, and Gibson Performance Exhaust, and with trophies awarded in Mild, Semi, and Wild Classes for fullsize trucks, mini-trucks, custom classic trucks, and SUVs, participants pulled out all the stops to have their vehicles noticed. The Best Of awards listed listed on the previous page were also part of the Texas Extreme Truck Show award agenda, and the judges were out pounding the showground's pavement searching for trucks which could not be denied each one of these prestigious awards. These individuals successfully built rides that caught the judges' eyes and exhibited quality in their completed state. Each of these participants should be commended for their hard work and efforts.
