Considering the state's affinity for full-size trucks, Dodge appropriately chose the Texas State Fair to unveil the titan (no pun intended) of its truck lineup. The Ram Mega Cab Dually adds an extra pair of rear wheels and tires to the rear axle for a staggering 6' 4" total rear track width. The dually configuration is available exclusively in the 3500-series and only with the Cummins turbo diesel, with the choice of a four-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. A limited-slip differential is optional.

As if the standard-axle 3500 weren't capable enough, the dually brings the Mega Cab's towing capability to 15,600 pounds, and payload capacity up to 3,240 pounds. But don't let the truck's impressive capabilities fool you into thinking this is a vinyl-seat, crank window stripper. Available in the upper-level SLT and Laramie trims, the Mega Cab Dually offers an optional rear-seat DVD player, as well as Sirius satellite radio, a power sliding rear window, and heated driver's seat. The truck goes on sale in January, 2006.
